The coach gives a new task, for example "hit and run" player then tries to hit all pitches on the ground. This process is continued through the batting practice round.
COACHING TIPS: Here are some ideas for task hitting: Opposite Field, Back into the L Screen, Pull the Ball, Hard on the ground, 2 strike hitting, 3-2 hitting, Hard hit, To the Outfield, Squeeze bunt, Etc.
"One of the biggest mistakes players make is taking batting practice without an objective, coaches should give their players a task to execute in order to make batting practice sessions more effective."
