COACH TIM
Welcome to Better Baseball Coaching, my name is Tim Thoreson. I designed this website as a FREE resource for coaches, parents, and players to become informed on some the of the best baseball drills and information used in the game today.
I have always had a passion for baseball, and as a player always took great pride in practicing as hard as possible. I would spend hours throwing a ball against a wall or hitting balls off of a tee into a net. As I now reflect upon my years of hard work, I know I could have worked smarter, and my practice time could also have been more enjoyable.
Upon graduating college and starting a teaching career, I also began running baseball camps in 2004 in the Twin Cities Metro Area, 5 Star Baseball Clinic L.L.C. I wanted to share with young ballplayers all of the knowledge, great drills, and effective and fun practice techniques that I was unaware of as a younger player. I didn't want them to miss out on Better Baseball Drills during their prime years of development.
During my 15 plus years of coaching and conducting baseball camps I realized that using fun, innovative, and effective baseball drills is the best way to develop the skills of players. Not only do the drills develop skill, but they are fun and challenging which motivates players to WANT to practice even more.
This Website is my way of ensuring that coaches, parents, and players are equipped with the knowledge of the best baseball drills to use for developing youth baseball players. I want to help as many coaches as possible, be the best coach they can be!
