Sometimes buying a gift can be difficult, but if you have a child who loves baseball, it should be easy. I am around kids and baseball all the time, so I think I have a pretty good idea about what kids like and also what gifts are the best. Here are 7 ideas to get for that kid who loves baseball!
# 1 BASEBALL BAT
If it is Christmas or a Birthday, it is time to go big! The most popular item any young baseball player wants is a brand new baseball bat. As kids grow they will need a bigger bat, so generally a new bat is needed every year. Also, every few years bats have new guidelines and rules. Many leagues require bats that are USA certified, so now is the time to make sure your child is swinging a bat the complies with league rules. Bats are great confidence builders and also motivate kids to want to go out and practice. Last year I bought my son 2 bats for Christmas, HE WAS PUMPED! Want some advice on what bat to get your child, E-mail me.
To save BIG $$$, buy your bat online. Generally bats are at least 20% cheaper online than in retail stores. Also, kids love wood bats too! Below are some of the more popular bats for 2018!

# 2 JERSEY
Kids love to wear jerseys of professional players! If you go to a school, it is a safe bet that more than one kid per class is wearing some type of jersey. There are many options when buying a jersey and a wide range of pricing. You can buy an authentic MLB jersey or a t-shirt jersey as well. Regardless of what type of jersey you get, your child will be excited to get the jerseys of one of their favorite players. Who are the top 10 selling MLB jerseys in 2017? 1. Aaron Judge 5. Bryce Harper 9. Franciso Lindor 2. Kris Bryant 6. Buster Posey 10. Javier Baez 3. Anthony Rizzo 7. Yadier Molina 4. Clayton Kershaw 8. Mike Trout |

#3 CATCHING GEAR
A new set of catching gear is another big ticket item that is guaranteed to bring a smile to your child's face. A while back, the team always supplied the catching gear. Times have changed however, and more often than not, I find that any player that is serious about being a catcher has their own gear. I have had great luck buying my own child catching gear, and here are a few of the brands I recommend. The following 2 sets of catching gear I have personally purchased. They have been great sets for my kid and are also very affordable.

#4 BUCKET OF BASEBALLS Getting a young player a bucket of baseballs may be the best way to help that player improve their skills. When a child has a lot of baseballs they can spend less time picking up baseballs and more time hitting. This also means less time picking up for the adult that is pitching them batting practice (that might be you!). Players can also execute their own long toss programs when they are equipped with a whole bucket as they won't rely on having someone to play catch with them. When I was growing up, I was always short baseballs. If I had a whole bucket, it would have made my practice time way more effective! |
#5 DISPLAY CASE FOR BASEBALLS This is a bit more of a unique gift, but for anyone the collects baseballs it is a necessity. It is a really neat way of showing off any autographed or souvenir baseballs. One thing that my family does is get a baseball from every ballpark that we attend. By placing these baseballs in the display case it reminds us of the great trips we had to each park. I really like that some cases are shaped like home plate, but they come in rectangular shapes as well. These cases come in various sizes and some even sport a lock for safekeeping! |
#6 BOWNET
If your child likes to practice at their own house, then the Bownet provides the opportunity to get throwing and hitting practice without chasing balls. This Bownet makes an excellent throwing target and also does a great job at collecting balls hit off of a tee or during soft toss. I own a Bownet and it is simple to put up and take down and they really do help create a perfect training station. The Bownet also comes with a durable storage bag
